Gonvarri Solar Steel, a leading Spanish manufacturer of solar trackers, today announced the launch of its latest product, the TracSmatT+1P dual-row 1P solar tracker. This new offering incorporates advanced features designed for installation efficiency and adaptability to challenging terrains.
The TracSmatT+1P boasts a tilt capability of up to 60 degrees and integrates Gonvarri Solar Steel’s proprietary ‘SmarTSlope’ technology. This innovative feature allows individual piles to be tilted by up to 0.6 degrees relative to each other, enabling seamless module installation across undulating and uneven ground without the need to shorten module rows.
Recognizing the growing importance of the agrivoltaics (agriPV) sector, Gonvarri Solar Steel has also developed a single-row version of the tracker that complies with European regulations and is specifically suited for agriPV applications. This focus aligns with increasing interest and investment in the European agriPV market, as evidenced by recent developments in Greece and Italy.
Gonvarri Solar Steel has prioritized simplicity and efficiency in the design of the TracSmatT+1P. The company states that the tracker’s “optimised structure” facilitates a faster and simpler installation process. Furthermore, the reduced number of components compared to other trackers aims to deliver lower maintenance costs and enhanced product reliability for customers.
This product launch builds on a successful year for Gonvarri Solar Steel in 2024, marked by several significant tracker supply agreements, including an 118MW deal in Chile, a 62MW deal in Spain, and a 50MW deal with Global Energy Services. To date, Gonvarri Solar Steel has delivered over 24GW of its tracker solutions across more than 45 countries globally, solidifying its position as a key player in the solar energy sector.
