Uzbekistan and Kuwait Forge Stronger Ties in Trade, Energy, and Culture

Uzbekistan and Kuwait have announced a significant expansion of their bilateral relations, encompassing trade, humanitarian cooperation, and collaboration on green energy development. During recent high-level discussions, both nations emphasized the importance of aligning Kuwait’s “Vision 2035” program with Uzbekistan’s development strategy.

Key economic outcomes include agreements to establish an Investment Platform and a Business Council, along with the opening of an Uzbekistan Trade House in Kuwait. These initiatives aim to foster stronger economic ties and facilitate increased trade between the two nations.

Uzbekistan and Kuwait will also collaborate on developing green energy and infrastructure projects, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable development. Cultural exchange will be enhanced through the organization of joint Culture and Tourism Weeks, along with increased cooperation in art, music, cinema, and sports. The two countries also discussed joint projects in education.

Furthermore, the leaders reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening coordination within international organizations and preparing for the upcoming May summit on “Central Asia – GCC.”

Following the negotiations, several key agreements were signed, covering cooperation in industry, transport, healthcare, and labor migration, solidifying the commitment to a deeper and more multifaceted partnership.
