CDC Breaks Ground on 150MW Data Center Campus in Laverton, Melbourne

CDC, a leading data center provider, today announced the groundbreaking of its new 150 megawatt data center campus in Laverton, Melbourne. The ceremony was attended by CDC Founder and CEO Greg Boorer, along with distinguished guests including Tim Watts MP, Federal Member for Gellibrand; Sarah Connolly MP, Member for Laverton; and Councillor Mia Shaw, Mayor of Wyndham City Council.

This significant development marks a key milestone for CDC’s continued expansion in Australia. The Laverton campus will contribute significantly to the Victorian economy, generating thousands of local jobs and injecting an estimated $2.7 billion into the region during the construction phase.

Upon completion, this new campus, combined with CDC’s existing Brooklyn campus, will solidify CDC’s position as a leading data center provider in Victoria, with a total capacity exceeding 780 MW. This expanded capacity will enable CDC to continue supporting critical infrastructure, government agencies, research institutions, educational institutions, and the thriving technology sector in the region.
