Penspen Expands Global Footprint with New Energy Transition Project

Penspen, a leading provider of engineering and project management services to the energy industry, today announced a significant expansion of its global operations, securing new contracts across key energy transition sectors.

In the Middle East, the company has entered into two new framework agreements in Saudi Arabia, covering the provision of study, FEED, detailed design, and project management supervision services for hydrogen production, wind, and geothermal energy projects.

Concurrently, in Europe and the UK, Penspen has secured several new contracts in key energy transition areas, including hydrogen repurposing, hydrogen blending, and carbon capture. These contracts are part of a broader portfolio of 57 new energy sector contracts awarded to the company.

“We are witnessing a period of significant transformation within the energy industry, and Penspen is at the forefront of this evolution,” said Peter O’Sullivan, Penspen CEO. “In our Western Hemisphere region, we have solidified our position as a thought leader in the energy transition by supporting a wide range of clients across multiple geographies in establishing how to repurpose their infrastructure for hydrogen and designing new infrastructure for both hydrogen and carbon capture.”

In the Eastern Hemisphere, Penspen’s portfolio includes the provision of engineering support for the Hail & Ghasha net zero gas project, further solidifying the company’s presence in this critical region.

In October 2024, Penspen acquired Aberdeen-based C&I Engineering Solutions, strategically expanding its operations in renewable energy alongside its traditional fossil fuel energy expertise.

These recent achievements underscore Penspen’s commitment to supporting the energy transition and providing innovative solutions to the evolving needs of the energy industry.
