Arcadis has announced three new project management appointments in the Philippines, spanning facilities decommissioning, workplace transformation, and early-stage development management. The wins reinforce the growing role of Arcadis Philippines Inc.’s Project Management team in delivering complex programmes across the country’s evolving property and development sector.
The appointments reflect continued demand for structured project leadership, particularly as organisations balance transformation, compliance, and long-term asset value.
Managing complex decommissioning programmes
Arcadis has been selected to lead a multistage facilities decommissioning programme for a global multinational brand, building on its involvement in the project’s initial phase in 2025.
The scope includes governance, scheduling, technical supervision, and stakeholder coordination, with a focus on ensuring activities remain aligned to programme timelines and operational milestones. The outcome will be a fully cleared and compliant site, positioned for future use.
From a project management perspective, the programme highlights the importance of disciplined oversight in transitional projects, where regulatory compliance, sequencing, and documentation are critical to avoiding downstream delays.
Shaping early-stage development in Cebu
In Cebu, Arcadis has been appointed to oversee predesign development management for a large masterplanned initiative. The role centres on establishing the project’s strategic direction and technical foundations ahead of full design.
This includes coordinating technical studies, guiding early concept development, and aligning stakeholders while maintaining control of the predesign timeline. Early-stage governance of this kind is increasingly seen as essential in reducing risk and ensuring long-term viability in large-scale developments.
Driving workplace transformation through rightsizing
Arcadis will also manage the rightsizing and modernisation of a major corporate head office, focusing on improving space utilisation and updating environments to reflect current working practices.
The programme includes refurbishing multiple office floors, enhancing shared facilities, and creating more flexible, collaborative workspaces. As organisations reassess their real estate footprints, such projects require careful alignment between design intent, operational needs, and delivery constraints.
Strengthening project delivery capability
Jose Pepito Garcia, Project and Program Management Service Line Director at Arcadis Philippines Inc., said:
“Across every project, our role is to help clients make informed decisions today that create lasting value for the people who will use these spaces tomorrow. Whether managing change, modernizing workplaces, or shaping new developments, we draw on Arcadis’ global management standards to deliver clarity, structure, and confidence at every stage. With Technical Director Phil Cox and Associate Directors Joseph Atabug and Kenneth Medina leading these engagements, we are excited to contribute to outcomes that will create lasting value.”
Together, the three appointments underline a broader trend: project management is increasingly central not just to delivery, but to shaping outcomes from the earliest stages through to completion.
