With rapid economic growth and major national programmes underway, APM aims to support the development of a strong, connected project profession in Saudi Arabia. The Network will promote best practice, facilitate knowledge exchange and provide structured professional development opportunities for both emerging and established practitioners.

Speaking at the launch, Carilyn Burman said: “This is an important milestone for APM as we establish our first Regional Network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession globally, our mission is to elevate the profession and support individuals and organisations to deliver successful, sustainable projects.

“We are here to support project professionals at every stage of their career, from those starting out to those leading complex national programmes. By bringing global insight and local expertise together, we can help the profession respond to both opportunity and challenge.”

The Network will host a programme of in-person events and webinars, exploring themes shaping the future of the profession, including capability development, digital transformation, diversity and the development of the next generation of project leaders.

Nicola Henderson-Reid said: “It is an exciting time for the project profession in the Kingdom. I look forward to welcoming APM members and the wider community as we share ideas, drive innovation and support the continued advancement of project management across the region.”

The Network’s first event is scheduled for 13 May 2026 and will be hosted by APM Corporate Partner Knight Frank, focusing on the construction of one of its flagship projects.

The Saudi Network follows APM’s recent international expansion into the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Ireland, complementing its established networks across the UK, Channel Islands and the Greater Bay Area of Hong Kong. Together, these networks strengthen professional engagement and promote best practice across sectors worldwide.
