Johnson Controls has marked the completion of a major multi-year collaboration with Thamrin Nine, Jakarta’s flagship mixed-use development, achieving significant energy reductions and securing BCA Green Mark Platinum certification for two of its towers.
The company delivered chiller plant design and implementation, engineering services and building automation systems for the Autograph Tower – now the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere at 382.9 metres – and the Luminary Tower. With systems now fully deployed, Johnson Controls will continue to provide service and maintenance to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.
Smart technologies underpin performance
Thamrin Nine is Johnson Controls’ first chiller plant optimisation project in Indonesia, demonstrating the value of advanced cooling technologies and integrated building management. Key achievements include:
- A 3,100-ton YORK® cooling system in the Autograph Tower, designed to meet the Green Mark Platinum target of below 0.58 kW/TR, reducing energy consumption by up to 30%.
- Three 300 TR high-efficiency YORK chillers in the Luminary Tower, supported by an Energy Management System to optimise cooling and lower energy demand.
- Tailored AHUs and FCUs across commercial, retail, residential and hospitality spaces.
- A Metasys Building Management System providing real-time monitoring and analytics, improving reliability and cutting maintenance costs through early fault detection.
