Atlantic Blue Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysian solar energy specialist Solarvest Holdings Berhad, is set to develop Brunei Darussalam’s largest national solar project. This significant undertaking will be executed through a joint venture, Seri Suria Power Sdn. Bhd., formed in collaboration with local partners Serikandi Oilfield Services Sdn. Bhd. and Khazanah Satu Sdn. Bhd.
The planned 30MW (megawatt) photovoltaic (PV) power plant is slated to break ground in the third quarter of 2025. It will be constructed on a 332,900-square-meter former landfill site in Kampong Belimbing, Mukim Kota Batu, Brunei. The project is anticipated to achieve operational status by the close of 2026, marking a pivotal moment in Brunei’s renewable energy landscape as the nation’s largest PV installation to date.
This collaborative effort underscores a strong commitment to sustainable energy development in Southeast Asia and highlights the growing regional focus on utility-scale solar power generation
