SRT Marine Systems, a leading global provider of maritime surveillance technology, today announced the commencement of a substantial €167 million (approximately £140 million), 10-year project to enhance Indonesia’s coastal protection capabilities. Shipments of equipment are set to begin immediately, following the finalization of project funding.
This significant contract will see SRT establish an advanced, integrated national maritime surveillance, command, control, and communication system for the Indonesian government. The comprehensive solution will provide Indonesian authorities with continuous, real-time and near real-time surveillance of its vast territorial waters.
A core component of the system is SRT’s proprietary AI-driven intelligence, which will deliver critical insights into maritime activities such as illegal fishing, smuggling, and maritime safety violations. Furthermore, the system will feature a national marine data integration platform, designed to interconnect all relevant national marine agencies for a unified operational picture.
Under the terms of the agreement, SRT will deploy multiple command centers, strategic multi-sensor coastal surveillance towers, long-range drones, and integrate surveillance capabilities into patrol vessels. This initiative underscores the growing global demand for advanced maritime domain awareness solutions.
