SuperByte Volunteers Contribute to Flood Mitigation Efforts with Tree Planting Initiative

Employees from SuperByte, a leading tech firm based in Shrewsbury, recently volunteered their time to support a significant environmental initiative aimed at tackling flooding in the region. As part of the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme (SVWMS), SuperByte staff collaborated with the Severn Rivers Trust to plant hundreds of trees in the Guisfield area.

Approximately 400 mixed native woodland trees were planted as part of this demonstrator project. The SVWMS, led by the Severn Rivers Trust, is exploring nature-based solutions to inform a new comprehensive water management strategy for the upper Severn.

The involvement of SuperByte volunteers underscores the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its support for local environmental initiatives. By dedicating their time and effort, the SuperByte team directly contributed to the project’s goal of utilizing natural methods, such as tree planting, to mitigate flood risks in the Severn Valley.
