JinkoSolar Partners with Climate Impact Corporation for 10GW Australian Green Hydrogen Project

Leading global module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: JKS) has announced a strategic partnership with the Climate Impact Corporation (CIC) to supply its advanced N-type TOPCon solar photovoltaic (PV) technology for the landmark Green Springs off-grid green hydrogen production project in the Northern Territory, Australia.

Under the terms of the agreement, JinkoSolar will be a key technology provider for the ambitious 10GW project, which aims to produce 500,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. The Green Springs facility will utilize solar energy generated through CIC’s proprietary modular renewable hydrogen production units. Each unit integrates solar PV, atmospheric water generators, electrolysers, and essential infrastructure for on-site hydrogen production.

While the total solar PV generation capacity for the project has not been disclosed, the selection of JinkoSolar’s high-efficiency N-type TOPCon modules underscores the project’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge solar technology for large-scale green hydrogen production. This partnership marks a significant step towards realizing Australia’s potential as a major global hub for green hydrogen export and reinforces JinkoSolar’s position as a leading enabler of the global energy transition.
