Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL), a subsidiary of the Waaree Group, has announced the acquisition of a new solar power project valued at Rs 232.30 crore from a domestic client. The project, with a capacity of 170 MW AC/255 MW DC, will be executed on a turnkey basis, encompassing comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, as well as long-term Operation & Maintenance (O&M).
The company stated that it received a Letter of Award (LOA) for the ground-mounted solar power project, further solidifying its position in the renewable energy sector. The project is expected to significantly contribute to carbon offset initiatives, reducing approximately 225,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. This reduction is equivalent to removing nearly 50,000 fossil fuel-powered cars from roads each year, highlighting the project’s environmental impact.
WRTL, backed by the Waaree Group’s extensive experience of completing 10,000 solar projects with a cumulative installation of over 1.82 GW, will leverage its expertise to ensure the successful execution of this significant project. This new venture reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supporting India’s transition to sustainable energy solutions. Â
