Venterra Group, a leading offshore wind energy services business, and Tonkin + Taylor, a prominent environmental and engineering consultancy, have announced a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop offshore wind projects in Australia and New Zealand.
This collaboration is strategically aligned with the ambitious offshore wind targets set by both nations. Australia aims to achieve 32 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity by 2030, while New Zealand is actively exploring the potential for up to 8 GW.
The partnership leverages Venterra’s extensive global expertise in providing end-to-end offshore wind solutions, combined with Tonkin + Taylor’s deep regional knowledge and comprehensive engineering capabilities. This synergy is designed to facilitate the delivery of world-class offshore wind projects and significantly accelerate the clean energy transition within the region.
“By combining our strengths, Venterra and Tonkin + Taylor are poised to play a pivotal role in realizing the significant offshore wind potential of Australia and New Zealand,” stated representatives from both companies. “This alliance underscores our shared commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions and contributing to the region’s decarbonization goals.”
